Hush — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 July 2026

Hush is a snore and sleep recorder built on one principle: your audio never leaves your phone.

The short version

What Hush accesses on your device

Microphone. Hush records audio overnight to detect snoring. Recordings are saved to Hush's private storage on your device and are analyzed on-device. You can play them back, export a report, or delete them at any time. They are never uploaded.

Notifications (optional). If you enable the smart alarm or reminders, Hush schedules local notifications on your device. No notification data leaves your phone.

Where your data lives

All recordings, scores, history, and settings are stored in Hush's private app storage on your device. You control retention:

Deleting a night removes its audio and data from your device. Uninstalling Hush removes everything.

Purchases

Hush offers a single one-time "Lifetime" unlock. Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) — Hush never sees your payment details. To restore a purchase, Hush asks the App Store / Google Play whether your account owns the unlock. That is the only time Hush communicates over the network, and no personal or sleep data is involved. Apple's and Google's handling of purchases is governed by their own privacy policies.

Children

Hush is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone — because it does not collect data at all.

Data requests

Because Hush stores nothing on any server, there is no account to access, export, or delete on our end. You already hold all of your data on your device, and you can delete it at any time from within the app or by uninstalling.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
